On October 27th, 2003 our loving, handsome and bright Deron was born in Rhode Island. Deron had the blessed chance to spread his love and energy growing up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island as well as Boca Raton, Florida, where he passed unexpectedly at the age of 19.

Deron will be remembered as the outgoing, free spirited, funny, loving young man that he was. His laugh and smile was infectious to everyone who was around him. Just with his presence, a room lit up and was filled with his giving heart. He was the best son, brother and cousin to his family and loved ones. Deron was passionate about all things sports, especially soccer and simply living his life to the fullest. Late last year of 2022, he began his clothing brand “Misunderstood Studios” with his cousin Amare Fortes which he was so ambitious about pursuing. Deron is now survived by his younger brother Joseph Lopes and his two sisters O’Livia and Jazyleen Lopes. Deron is also survived by both parents Elsa DePina and Olavo Lopes and grandparents Regina Alves, Laurinda Lopes, Casimiro lopes, and belated grandfather Jose DePina, along with his cousins, aunts and uncles.

A remembrance and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday March 25th, from 10am-1pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Family, friends and loved ones are welcome to show their love, respect and remembrance to Deron as we send him up above as the angel he is. In support of Deron’s dream business, you can support his clothing brand with this link here: https://misunderstood-8649.myshopify.com/collections/all
